A voyage through taste.

Elena closes her eyes and inhales. “That smells divine!” The aroma of freshly baked bread mingles with mature pecorino cheese and wild boar salami. Marco dips a slice in the new, green, peppery olive oil.
At AcaciAmare Restaurant, every dish tells the story of our land: cacciucco alla livornese seafood soup, Atlantic bonito (a Slow Food Presidium), vegetables from the garden
Simple, authentic flavours. (That warm your heart.)

The sun sets behind the hills. Marco raises his glass and admires the ruby tones. “Sassicaia?” asks Elena. He smiles: “Bolgheri Superiore. Can you smell the notes of cherry and spices?”
Some of the world’s most celebrated reds are born just a few kilometres from our hotel. Sassicaia, Ornellaia, Masseto. Names that set connoisseurs dreaming.
Come and taste the best local labels at La Palmaiola Lounge Bar
A glass, a chat, the horizon before you.
(Cheers to Tuscany.)

On

your plate

and in

your glass.

On the Wine and Olive Oil Trail.

Sensory experiences.

“Shall we do the Etruscan Coast Wine and Olive Oil Trail next?” asks Elena, leafing through the guidebook.
It’s a route that winds its way amongst vineyards, olive oil mills, and medieval villages. A new discovery awaits around every bend: barriques carrying the scent of oak, tables set in charming little squares, olive oil mills where new oil flows green and peppery. Elena and Marco’s wine-tasting weekend in Tuscany starts here.

Lunch in a traditional village osteria

Take a seat at a table in Bolgheri or Castagneto Carducci: platters of sliced meats, pecorino cheese, handmade pici pasta, and local wines. Then, treat yourself to typical products in the village boutiques.

Green gold: extra-virgin olive oil

A slice of Tuscan bread, a drizzle of freshly pressed oil. Tasting the local extra-virgin olive oil is an experience that completes your journey into the terroir. You simply have to buy a bottle to take home.

“Tenuta dell’Ornellaia, Tenuta Guado al Tasso, Podere Grattamacco: these are the wineries we recommend to our friends. And we count you among them.”

Events to mark in your diary.

Marco checks the calendar. “The Wine Festival on the beach is on while we’re there.”
During your holiday in the Tuscan Maremma, wine is celebrated during events that transform cloisters, villages, and even the beach into showcases of flavour. Tastings at sunset, romantic nights under the stars, ancient rituals such as wine pressing. Here are the dates to remember for encounters with happiness.

Vini Bagnanti (June)

One kilometre of beach, 50 wineries, unlimited tastings. In San Vincenzo, artisanal wine meets the sea and the Slow Food philosophy.

Note di Vermentino (June)

Three magical evenings in the Suvereto cloister: glasses of Vermentino, fish dishes, and the Romantic Night of the Most Beautiful Villages in Italy.

Montescudaio
Wine Festival (October)

Since 1967, the festival has opened with the grape-pressing ritual. Walks among the vineyards, guided tastings, and the authentic spirit of Tuscany.
