The pink-tinged sky

Marco orders a Bolgheri DOC, Elena a Sassicaia.
Behind them the sky is painted pink as the sun seems to dive into the sea. The strings of lights above them flicker to life. Their drinks arrive.
The Sassicaia tastes of blackcurrants and hints of black pepper. The Bolgheri exudes cherry aromas, with an aftertaste of liquorice. The minerality of the sea and all the love of the people who bottled it come through with every sip.
