marina di castagneto
Among the most popular beaches on the Etruscan Coast, the one at Marina di Castagneto Carducci is wide and sandy, overlooked by the lush vegetation of the Maremma and a thick pine forest.
Its clean and limpid waters, repeatedly recognised by the Blue Flag, are suitable for all ages, thanks also to the many beach establishments and the "Punti Azzurri", free beaches where assistance and services are guaranteed. Strolling along this coastline, one can enjoy the sea breeze, the lulling sound of the waves and the blossoming sea lilies.

san vincenzo
This stretch of land that runs down from Livorno to the Piombino promontory features a Blue Flag beach with clear, fine sands.
If you love water sports, you can try your hand at activities such as swimming, fishing, diving, sailing, water skiing and windsurfing. For those who prefer nature, we recommend exploring the Rimigliano Park, a natural oasis of flora and fauna right by the sea, full of beautiful flowers and plants, as well as woodland animals such as red squirrels and foxes, but also birds such as woodpeckers and titmice.

gulf of baratti
The Gulf of Baratti seemingly embraces its red-sand beach, enclosing its crystal-clear waters.
Here you can enjoy surfing and windsurfing, or try snorkelling in the Buca delle Fate, a rocky cove that can be reached by a path through the woods or by circumnavigating the Piombino promontory with a kayak or SUP. From the small port of Baratti, on the other hand, you can set off on a boat excursion to explore the Piombino promontory.

bolgheri
Bolgheri holds a charm that is difficult to describe. However, one can begin to imagine it when one strolls along its famous cypress-lined street, which was even sung about by Giosuè Carducci, to reach the historic centre. Here, the medieval castle spans the ages with all its splendour still intact.
This is a land of age-old pursuits but also of protected areas such as the Wildlife Refuge Padule di Bolgheri. Above all, it is a land of good wine: here you can taste Bolgheri DOC, certified wines of controlled origin, including Sassicaia, Ornellaia, Masseto, sampling them at its producers, but also in the area's wine shops, taverns and restaurants.

populonia
An ancient and significant city-state dating back to Etruscan times, Populonia sits atop a hill, ideally framed by its sea, which it presides over from the top of the promontory. A visit to the village, within its medieval walls, offers glimpses of great beauty and enchanting walks.
However, the real journey back in time takes place in the Baratti and Populonia Archaeological Park, filled with testimonies of the Etruscan civilisation. Here, in fact, it is possible to visit the ancient Acropolis of Populonia, with temples, buildings, mosaics and Roman roads, but also necropolis, calcarenite quarries and the ancient industrial quarters where hematite was worked.

Cities of Art and Villages
A holiday in Tuscany cannot be without a cultural tour. San Gimignano, the city of 72 Towers, a UNESCO World Heritage site, is worth a visit. Also the Tarot Garden, where the sculptures of Niki de Saint Phalle represent the famous cards. Volterra is a city that will take you on a journey into the past: from the Etruscan Acropolis to the Roman Theatre, from the Palazzo dei Priori (the oldest municipal palace in Tuscany) to the Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta and the Baptistery of San Giovanni.
In the Middle Ages, the protagonists were the Basilica of San Galgano, with its sword in the stone, and the city Siena, where the ancient Palio is still held today.

Costa dei Gabbiani
ISOLA D’ELBA
Elba is the largest island in Tuscany, boasting 147 kilometres of coastline and landscapes that are unforgettable. On the promontory of Monte Calamita, in the south east of the island, lies the Tenuta delle Ripalte: 450 hectares of wild nature, like an island in the island itself. An unspoilt spot where, in harmony with the landscape, native Elba vines are cultivated, producing typical island wines.
Here you too can discover an ancient tradition, brought back to modernity by expert hands and new technologies. Tuscany Hotel Alle Dune, in collaboration with the Tenuta, will accompany you on a wine experience at the Cantina delle Ripalte. You can sample the wines together with typical Tuscan products and Elban specialities, to be combined with e-bike tours inside the Estate and aperitifs on the Cantina's terrace overlooking the sea.
