The first WWF protected area in Italy!
Padule di Bolgheri, located between the lush pine woods and a wide beach, in an area characterised by dunes and tomboli, is a place you should not miss if you love nature.
This picturesque and beautifully preserved corner of old Maremma is open to visitors on Saturdays in June, July and August. Booking is required.
With an exciting night hiking tour, you will discover the entire protected area (about 9km), and see fallow deer, roe deer, hares, wild boars, herons, egrets and storks in their nests.
The tour starts at 06.00pm, with a break at sunset to eat your packed dinner on the pristine beach, and end at 11.00pm along the old via dei Cavalleggeri illuminated by moonlight.
